I tried different different interconnects for about 6 months I started with mit avt2 which i liked also, then went to mit matrix 6 which i thought first impressions were better but i found it not as warm and deep but more airy and details, while loosing texture and depth in the sound stage. I then tried a pair of my friends shotgun s3 which where the best out of the mit line. finally I tried the new cardas parsec which I like a lot. I went back and forth between the shotgun s3 and the parsec. I was going to pick the s3 that is when I found out the parsec only had about 40hrs on them. I ran them for 4 days on repeat on a player for break in and went back to re listen. The mit s3 sounded broken compared to the parsec the parsec had a much bigger sound stage detail balance and depth where incredible. I now have about 400 hrs on them and they are hands down the best interconnect I have ever used.

Don't have the Parsec, but I have had Quadlink 5C biwire speaker cables, and a Cardas Cross phono cable for 15 years and have never had the urge to change. Funny thing is, Cardas has a rap for being too warm, yet I find the Quadlink to be extremely revealing of associated equipment, yet retains a wonderful depth and fullness (which is different than warmth for me). Your cables will also continue to get better with time.
The parsec is a beautiful Cable I used to own quadlink interconnect before I just thought it was a little bloated and rolled off on top. Parsec replaced quadlink I feel they don't sound nothing alike. Parsec is smooth but much better balance and extension on both ends midrange is beautiful without being bloated or warmed over . My friend who owns clear light and we a/b the two described the parsec as clear light with a more palpable midrange.
