Just regular ol' wood? Not stained or shelacked or dipped or blessed or cryoed? Seems too simple and yet, too simple not to try.
Does this apply to IC's crossing power cords or just like wires? I've got plenty of scrap pieces around. I'll put some to use and give this a try.
Follow Ups:
It has to be long grained outside layers of the wood. Hartwood will suffice, however, the skin effect will not be reduced as much. The best wood is that which comes from the Amazon Kapok tree and made into blow guns by pigmies leaving a perfect air center which is the best dielectric. Be sure to keep the humidity high as in the Amazon rain forest. Now sit back and enjoy!
?????
I used it on all wires that crossed or were coming close to one another. Everything opened up really nicely, less noise and therefore a lot more low level detail.
