MUNGO,,, WHY ???
Follow Ups:
Silver plating works at radio frequencies but not audio frequencies, well maybe ultra high frequencies. The plating is not nearly thick enough to handle all frequencies in a linear fashion. When the much thicker copper and ultra-thin silver combine, it can create two different, frequency dependent, conductive pathways creating a sort of ultra sonic ringing or edginess. Use all copper or all silver. Some may hear it, some may not.
From a cynic's standpoint, some cable manufacturers cash in by advertising their product as silver cables when it's only silver plated. This stuff is not expensive, but has a big mark-up, knowing that audiophiles will buy it.
OH REALLY ???? AND HOW DO YOU COME TO THAT CONCLUSION ???? SHOW ME THE PHYSICS TO BACK THAT IDIOTIC STATEMENT,,
Apparently it's not the mandate of Audio Asylum to be required to back up any of your statements. I've offered an easily understood explanation and it's up to you to buy in or not. It's basic physics.
The fact that you have no knowledge about, and no experience with the matters that are being discussed, that is.
What's even easier to understand is the fact that you continue to violate rules of this forum with your non-experiential nonsense.
"you continue to violate rules of this forum with your non-experiential nonsense"
I don't think so. We have rules for trolls and shills - but I defend the Mungo's right to say whatever he likes - and your right to counter.

I'm not sure if your post is directed at me but if so: how am in violation of the rules with my comments on this thread and please feel free to offer a plausible explanation to refute my offerings.
