The Wireworld Silver Tube is an excellent rca connector. Made in Japan by Jelco. Wireworld, AudioQuest, and Atlas Cables also use variations of the Jelco design. The Jelco RCA PP-42 rca connector (silver plated PCOCC copper, stable characteristic impedance design for efficient digital signal transfer, foamed polypropylene center insulator featuring a very low 1.55 dielectric constant) is world class for use as a digital coaxial cable connector. I use it to terminate a DIY Oyaide FTVS-510 solid core silver digital cable. Sounds very transparent and detailed. A+++The Equinox 6 cable is an OCC wire ribbon cable with a geometry that resembles a star quad cable (however, not cross connected), in that four ribbon cables are stacked, one on top of the other, two conductors for each polarity, then twisted in a double helix topology. It seems impressive enough for me to want to give it a listen, especially at the moderate price point.

After further (proper) research, I should not have been so confident about Jelco being the maker of Wireworld's Silver Tube rca connector. The Silver Tube design, while being similar to that of a Jelco, is not as identifiable as being an actual Jelco build as I had surmised, since there is enough difference in the actual designs as to cause notable doubt in my mind, at this time. While the supposition still seems quite plausible, I can't be so certain at this point. In retrospect, I should have exercised due diligence in the forum.

Duster, Thanks for your responses and the self correction. Wireworld says that their rcas are propriatary and did not say who made them. I called them on this issue since you brought it up, before your subsequent responces. Nice to know their are detail oriented types out their. You wrote about digital cable but I am interested in these cables for analogue. I am very interested in your opinion of these cables in the signal path compaired to other respected cables that you have. Tweaker
My Wireworld Equinox 6 interconnect cable evaluation process will begin today. When completed, I'll post a report in Cable Asylum.

Here's a well-written 6moons review that includes the Wireworld Equinox 6 rca interconnect:

After much deliberation, I've gone ahead and placed an order for a 1m pair of Wireworld Equinox 6 interconnects to compare with a much more pricey pair of audio interconnects for use with a Motorola DCT2224 digital cable television terminal. Much effort and funds have already been invested in optimizing my digital CATV audio/video experience including a DIY Oyaide FTVS-510 continuous cast 5N pure silver digital CATV F-video coaxial cable terminated with ViaBlue TVR Series F-Pin connectors (6 foot) connected from CATV jack at the wall to DCT2224's coaxial input jack, with a Highwire Audio Power Wrap (0.375" diameter version) positioned at center of cable.
Even though the upstream in-wall coaxial cabling is crummy copper clad steel coaxial cable used by the CATV provider, it's wonderful how much an audiophile quality silver coaxial cable when implemented as a digital CATV coaxial cable from the wall jack can impact the sonic signature of a digital cable box analog audio output -- most profound perhaps being an affect on the bottom end, which is often the weak point of many digital coaxial audio cables -- the solid core silver Oyaide FTVS-510 helps provide a very authoritative bass presentation unlike any conventional RG6 coaxial cable that I've experienced, including other high quality aftermarket video cables including various silver plated make/models that don't perform nearly as well from an audiophile perspective. Video image is not nearly as impacted as the audio aspect is, IME. However, a solid core silver AudioQuest video cable from the CATV box to a Sony WEGA Trinitron KV-27FS100 CRT television video input is a truly excellent thing from a video POV...
I'll post a Wireworld Equinox 6 interconnect report down the road after ample burn-in and evaluation.
Cheers, Duster
