I am sorry. I did not mean to insult you. I have an Indian friend who jokes about how long it takes for things to get to trail in India. Iwas just kidding around. No one in their right mind would think that they shoot people for electrical code code violations in India. Do they even have a death penalty in India?
Since an IEC connector is the same configuration for both 110 and 220 voltages, it makes sence for the manufacture to rate them for both. For the AC connections at the wall they use a Schuko connector, which is quite different than the 110 US connector, there is no point in having a dual voltage rating.
