I will tell you what I did to my LP12. It is probably out of the question, but here goes. I replaced all the arm wire with 32 gauge silver wire in Teflon. I twisted the four wires together and terminated them at two RCA outs attacked to the rear of the deck. The part that is probably to radical is I removed the connection at the head shell and the din plug completely. So the wires run directly from cartridge to the RCA sockets. As you are well aware, the cable plugged into the din arm socket does deflect the arm board and hampers tuning. I have eliminated that problem.
