When you swapped SWO-GX for R1 have you heard the same effect of reducing energy in upper midrange and lower treble (becoming more relaxed)?
I have Oyaide power strip with three SWO-GX receptables and I would like to change them for R1 one day. All my power cords are Black Sand Violet with standard connectors, do you think I should try P/C 004 instead? I am not sure what to do first...
Thank you

I didn't notice any reduction of energy per say, what I did notice is that the presentation of high frequency instruments is alot cleaner and that the bass is way more energetic/defined. In my situation, this translates into a very precise/open/3D soundstage which I'm sure can be attributed to a lowering of the noise floor. To my ears, the SWO-GX sounds lethargic when compared to the R1.
As to your second question, I would change over to the R1's in your power strip before changing connectors on your Black Sands cables. Also get the R1's cryo'd and cooked if U can. Then when your budget allows, swap over to the P-004/C-004 connectors on your cables :-)
