Hi all.I built my Foreplay and Paramours using 100% 22gauge magnet wire.
( On the Paramour - I haven't trimmed the Transforemer wires, as in future I may wish to build a custom chassis )
And so with all my kit built I am now on the merry adventure of reducing hum.I'm picking up the Transformer hum through the speakers quite clearly - even when sitting 20 feet away I can here it.
Are my Paramours more susceptible to hum because I used purely magnet wire?
Next question....
I have managed to find instructions to build a snubber for my Foreplay. But I can't find the instructions to build for the Paramours.
( idiot level language required for me please )Any suggestions.
( VS webpages are mentioned in the archives on this.
I looked VS website - but I can't see it - I must be getting old )Thanks

I've got ISP problems with my web pages. I have a few offers of help from the Forum (Thanks, I may take the offers up).I started working with a local helper before Christmas and hope to have at least an "archive" up somewhere before the end of the month.
A filament snubber B9 to ground on the 12AT7 in the Paramour will help a lot with hum and buzz.
