Is there any reason to worry about running my extended Foreplay III and Paramounts on a line with a voltage of 123? I have a regulator which can lower it to 118, but it hums loudly and I would prefer to not use it.
Hi Glenn,
Your amps and preamp should be OK at 123VAC. When both were in for service, we upgraded them with MJE5731A transistors in the shunt reg locations. The Paramounts also got heat sinks for added margin. Keep an eye on the line voltage and as long as it doesn't go higher, you should be OK.

Glynn,
In my experience the AC(line) voltage range you indicate 118-123 shouldn't make any difference at all. Standard 110 can vary with load. I see this a lot in three phase AC applications.

How are those Basszilla's sounding?
You can do this, just be sure you have MJE5731A's in the center board and MJE5731A's in both positions in the green boards in the Paramounts (They replace the MJE350's, oriented backwards) if you plan to run the gear for long periods of time.123 isn't super high, but a little above normal...
