  I spoke with Dan today and learned that the black insulated wire (the only wire that comes with the kit) is used for all wiring; the copper wire is no longer used for the ground bus due to problems with stipping that beginners like myself used to experience.

  I also learned that the black insulated wire to be used for the ground bus need not be doubled and twisted, nor does it need to be stripped for the whole length. The length of the ground bus wire is simply cut in two and stripped at the four terminations to facilitate connections with the three terminal points to which it needs to be soldered.
