Talking about clones.
As you have seen the Apollo comes with a frame to the back.
To me your baffle looks much to "open".
You bet Robert had a good reason to control the backward sound.
Cheers
Not at all.I have checked this with Robert. The frame on the Apollo is 90% air because it is perforated metal and fabric to give it a more acceptable look as a production/retail product and not because it is controlling the sound. In fact the ideal open baffle is just that- completely open to avoid reflections that colour the sound. For this reason too you should not place the open baffle next to side walls etc but leave as much space as possible around it.

OK, now for some problems. The sensitivity of the high level inputs is very low.Driving the subs from the speaker outputs with the volume on the sub all the way up I barely get any bass.I resorted to making a hybrid connection from the speaker connectors to the sub RCA input since I donīt want to run i/c from the preamp at this stage. It seems fine this way but I would have preferred it work properly.
Has anyone noticed this because it seems a design fault of the sub amp?
Yes, I had the same issue with my titan amps. However, the bass get clearly louder as the subs are getting breaking in. This procedure took me approx. 500 hours (!).
Never the less, it was still not as loud as desired. But if you use the both inputs of each titan amp in parallel, you will get a significant increase in the volume which might be sufficient for you.
In my case, at the end, I had to modify the output level of the power amp and the pre-amp in order to have some room (buffer) for fine adjustment of the titan volume control :-) .
Which power amp / pre-amp do you use?

I am using an Aikido pre (John Broskie) into mainly a diy 300b set amp with KR 842 6sn7/ccs driver -14 watts.Other amps are a prototype 6c33 set amp, Audiopax kt88 production amp, and some others as long as my wife lets me keep them ;).....
I reduced the input sensitivity of my power amp by reducing the gain of the driver stage so that titan bass level became suitable. Now the volume knob of titan shows 1 o'clock.
BTW, to me the low-level input (RCA) sounds better than the high-level input (speaker). But I found that the sensitivity of the RCA input is lower than the speaker inputs.

I would like to complain a bit to Robert for the quality of the gasket. It seems to be made out of a cardboard type compound and is extremely delicate to any side stress and in fact mine were not even glued on properly coming apart. If you try and attach anything on them like a cover they cannot take any light double side tape or similar as a thin paper layer comes off when you pull slightly.
I think , for the money, we are entitled to a nice durable rubber type or polyethylene? type compound that does not come apart at the slightest pressure??
