    Are you doing this to minimize vibration of the the baffle?
    I have been thinking about this for some while and even though I have 50 lb. weights at the bottom of the base I might try something to further stabilize the top portion of the baffle.

    So the first thing that came to mind was a long threaded rod inserted at the top of the baffle running angled to a weight that would be resting behind the speaker somewhere.

      Yes I did it to minimize the ob top move. I have the subs sitting on the ob base and they are pretty heavy. But even though the baffle seems to vibrate which to a degree resets the cone movement. I have the feeling that even if you have the support running in angle, it is still better to increase the mass of the ob instead.
