Icebear's pictures intrigue me, and that's definitely what I need for my system. So, Robert, I'd like to know how I can convert my subs to something like what he's done. Is it as simple as buying two more drivers and another amp? Do I need a crossover for the four bass drivers as well? Please let me know, because I'm anxious to move in this direction.
Hi Gary,sealed- (original), dipole- and also horn- woofers can be used with the Prometheus- baffles. Comparing the sealed original- cabinets and dipole- woofers there are advantages for both systems. When you have difficulties in your room with common woofers a dipole is a good alternative, in most rooms the placement of a dipole- woofer has to be with bigger distance to the walls, so imho these are not the first choice for a small room, here the original woofers have advantages regarding placement. There are exceptions, Bjørn has made very good experiences but on the other hand some customers who tried dipoles went back to sealed- or hornbased- woofers. When you want to copy Bjørn`s design best is to contact him by p.n., when you want to built another dipole- design i will give you advice but i can`t guarantee that this is what you want/need.

hi Robertdavid sundby here i met you at rmaf in denver last mo. also last yr.
i am the man with the envirnmental sensitivities with the ciare ch250 speakers
as designed by norbert.would you please take a few minutes to help me? even though i do not use your
speakers ( i cannot afford them) .even though my baffle is 25" wide (.8 m) and though i have 15 cm. "wing"" of
cardboard staples to all sides of the baffles, i am not getting much bass from
250 hz. and under. the drivers are high Q and are supposed to make good bass
down to 65 hz. i use a sub to augment and it is set at 150 hz. the crossover
is 12 db/octave.is it because my room is big? 3m/9m/6m.
how do you get bass down to 100 hz. with your driver on such a small baffle? my
driver have a much higher Q than yours and so it seems like i should have fewer
problems in this way than your design.thankyou for any insight. sincerely, david sundby

Hello David, sorry for my late reply!
At the low end the Ciare shows the common very early and flat falling behaviour of most widebands, the Prometheus- widebands are different. There is a possibility to get a lower f3 from your driver on an o.b., i will send you a p.m. on this string.Regards
