Hi,
there are many other good sounding amps out there, especially the fly- powered SE tubed amps (for example SE2A3 or SE45) are interesting to power the o.b.`s or the Matterhorn speakers when you don`t listen live rock- concert- levels.

Well your last answer opened a whole new world for me: I've always avoided tubes as I wasn't comfortable with the idea of sthing so fragile and sumitted to SQ diminution through time and never paid attention to them thinking it was not for me.
As I looked what kind of amps you were referering to, I see now that the very reasons I'm so much into vinyl and interested by your speakers, would meet with those amps characteristics.
Sorry if I'm a bit thick but what reference of good se2a3 or Se45 do you have in mind? I'm kind of lost between the diy or grey market and the established brands selling amps the price of a car. I've discovered reviews of Almarro for example, that look promising. I read a lot of posts from people disappointed by rwa lack of dynamics and am no so sure anymore.
I'm looking for an integrated as well.
Thank you for your precious insight!

I import a line of great electronics from Hungary called TubeGuru. When I took the Bastanis line on in the U.S. Robert suggested I contact them in Budapest as he felt their amps were amazing and stood alone in their price class. I have had TubeGuru for about 2.5 years now and can say that Robert was right. I am powering my Mandala speakers with the TubeGuru 6C33C stereo amp at 14wpc and it is the best amp that I have had in my system-and there have been many. This amp also drove to great effect, the Leonoardo planar magnetic ribbon speakers at the New York show this past spring. People were amazed that they were hearing only 14 watts on the big Italian speakers. They also make 2a3 amps and 300B/type50 amps that I have had in the demo system. All are fantastic with the Bastanis.
