What is the shape of the room? Squarish?You have them far enough out of the corners not to be reinforcing the bass. Try moving them closer and farther from the front wall. The rigidity/construction of the wall has an effect, as does, naturally, the rest of the system.
There are 4 copper speaker cables besides the silvers. See my post somewhere in the vicinity of this one.

I'm aware of the copper models but I have no idea how good those are.
Can't try them, will have to buy and hear myself.I'll see what (if anything) Kimber 4TC will do and then move the speakers around the room.
I'm actually suprised that the amp made such a difference in bass.
