Never seen the AZ series with hemp woofers before.

Hi Bambadoo,The hemp cones are a big upgrade, giving a much more open mid-range for a reasonable extra cost. They're also available on the AZ-Twos.
I just upgraded my camera today, here's a more natural picture of the AZ-Three's.

What are you using as a transport and I'm curious if you experimented with different transport options.?Usualy AN own designed speakers are not well regarded so I'm also interested if you had a chance to compare to Snell derived models (E, J K).Rgrds, W
Hi Wojciech,
The transport is a PC playing FLAC files through foobar. I originally used an Asus soundcard to produce the digital output, but have discovered a USB/spdif converter that does a much better job from a sound quality point of view (search for HA INFO NG COAX on ebay, they are very inexpensive and worth a try).
I did demo an AZ-Two hemp against a standard woofer AN-J and found I preferred the AZ-Two, the hemp cone makes a massive difference. Later I heard the AZ-Three and went for it as it has a better tweeter than the AZ-Two, giving the refinement of the AN-J. I am sure the AN-J hemp is even better though, but found the AZ-Three "hit the spot" anyway.
