maybe a ground loop. Try a cheater plug or disconnect the ground wire in the power cable and see if the hum goes away. I've had sort of same issue with my M3 pre and DAC.

Thanks! I got the same advice, and tried fixing the problem the way you suggest, but the hum stayed. I brought it to a friend of mine that knows these ANs really well, and he found that the digitalboard did not have the right groundconnection. I'm afraid I cannot say exactly what the solution was (I did not build the dac myself) but now it works just as it should!
