The 12AU7 tube is regarded by majority of DIY people as a one o the worst sounding valves , high distortions etc, even heard that some tech from AN said that whenever 12AU7 is replaced by 6SN7 sound is getting much better. Yet AN UK in it's best preamps (M9) uses 12au7 and also Kondo offers Neiro line with 12AU7 in preamp stage. Go figure

I disagree with you about the 12AU7 tube. There is no 6SN7 board for the ANK Dac so the 12AU7 setup rules.
