Not sure what the "Z" designation stands for, but I can get you the upgraded "K" version. Email me if interested.
Does this chip swap produce an audible improvement in sound quality? Could you briefly describe it? In the bigger scheme of things, is this a major upgrade or are there 'bigger fish' to go after?
Thanks,
Bob
and, does it have they same pinning?
I don't have one -- I just saw them listed on google when I searched for the AD1865N-K. Thus, I asked here for comments before trying to order one. Anyway, searching AD's website does not produce anything. Soooo, could be just a listing error -- I don't know.
The "K" version of the chip is exactly the same in every respect as the std. 1865N chip, but with tighter specs. ie. lower noise, higher s/n ratio, etc. The "K" is tough to find, but worth seeking out.
So you have tried this on an AN DAC and can hear sound improvements, like lower noise, cleaner clearer sound etc?
