How low do the Kit speakers go when pulled out from the wall?I understand they are spec'd when placed in corners which significantly boosts the low end so I'm curious about what they would do pulled a few feet from the front wall. Thanks!

Probably 22hz -6db (that is what Hi-Fi Choice published and they have no corner.
Bass is not the only reason to have them in corners though.

The finished versions are actually rated to 18hz @-6db. Needless to say they are not lacking in bass.

They are 18hz -6db with the provision that they are placed in corners. Corner loading does add to both sensitivity and bass ratings. Away from corners you can take 3db off the sensitivity rating.
These speakers are made for corner loading and should be placed in corners. The fact that they also sound pretty darn good away from corners is a nice bonus but they sound better in corners. You have to be really careful and get them just right when corner loading them but when you do it's a treat.
