  I would look at it and get instruction on where the signal is going and what can be done. I skipped over all of the input before the Crystal chip and wired directly to it with a Trans 270 between it and the input. After the 1865 chip I go to an interstage transformer eliminating the filtering, which does improve the sound and "open" up the unit. I also use all nos Tantalum resistors. All the capacitors are also changed.

  I found that going to a battery supply for the digital board is a big step forward also and it is not hard to implement.

    I am looking at the schematic. So, you bypass the relay network, and feed the signal directly to pin 9 and 10 on the reciever chip?

    Where do you source the input tranny? I see AN is no longer selling these?

    With the interstage tranny, which type do you use, and does this get wired in directly from the 1865 to the inputs on the output stage?

    For the caps, I assume you are talking about the majority of the 47uF 16V electrolytics feeding the reciever and the dac? What type did you use, and how much of an improvement was noticed?

      =====I used OS-Con but the type I used are not made any longer. I replaced all the caps with better ones. The best would be Black Gate but they take forever to break in and can be costly, though worth it.

      
      I would divide up the ps B+ as I did under systems. Look at my system that I have posted here.
