Dumb move on my part. I was testing it to see if I could demo it in the car to sell to someone, rather than try to meet to do it right with a normal A/C load. Wattage: 140. The goal was to demonstrate that both channels worked using a small speaker and a phone mp3 as source. It's odd that BOTH channels are now dead? I will call Creek, I guess.
Are there fuses that'd just be to the amp or pre-amp (if this has an actual pre-amp circuit? I've heard that maybe these are passive, so not sure if that means fewer components. Either way, not working.
The unit is 60hz, for the second poster responding.
Thanks.
Follow Ups:
140 watts, so 1.2 amps, explains the buzzing, too bad it wasn't designed to shutdown. Without schematic, would just be guessing. Hopefully inexpensive fix. Most things are, few dollars in components. Hopefully Creek will treat you well. If not you could post your location maybe there is someone close to you that is curious enough to take a look at it.
check to see if there is a voltage switch on the back. like 120/240. or does it need jumpers for the preamp/amp connection?
recheck the controls - daa but it happens. Does it light up. Or just dead with no indicator light?
No switches on the back. Lights up / powers up fine. Light goes yellow, the 'clicks' to green. All relays appear to work with other controls, as you can hear them function (speaker, source all work).
So it sets up like it normally should be working. Indicator lights not on protect mode and the relays click in like they always did????
If there are separate jacks on the rear for preamp/amp can you jump them together? Open it up and see if there are any internal fuses???
