Hello to anyone who may offer some help. I have a Fosgate FAP-T1 dolby surround processor that worked fine for several years. The other day it was playing fine when it suddenly lost power. I removed the top cover and checked fuses and they checked out no problem. I called Rockford Fosgate and they no longer do repair work. I got a number for New York and the technician said it would cost around $275 to do a full service. I am thinking there is a problem with the power supply. Can anyone help as far as who could possibly troubleshoot this processor? I have looked at some of the current processors but I prefer the FAP-T1 over what I have seen, and if it could be repaired for a reasonable amount I would like to get it fixed. Thanks to anyone who can be of some help.

Thanks guys for the reponses. I know its an older unit but I am comfortable with it. I have checked Ebay on occasion but haven't had any luck.
Well if you like it and want to fix it $275 is not unreasonable for a complete service especially if the tech will replace critical caps in the unit and PS section.
I would say consider a more modern unit from a company that still makes and services their product but you seem set on keeping it.

I'm familiar with the Fosgate FAP-T1, you're probably better off looking for used or parts-only unit on ebay. They show up every so often and sell cheap as they are somewhat outdated and not very popular with the general home theater crowd.
