My trust Plinius 8200MKII bit the dust and I need a new integrated that work well with the Joseph's.
Anyone know of a good match? Budget up to $2500 new or used. If I can't get a great match think I will go to Tubes. Thanks

I have a friend with Joseph floorstanders. Not sure which model, but by the finish alone, they look very pricey. With that said, he's been enjoying a Rogue Cronus Magnum (KT 120's) for the last couple years. It replaced a fairly expensive Yamaha integrated which I believe has been relegated to a second system.
Belles Aria
..at either audio shows or dealers they've been paired with Bel Canto electronics. Probably a reason.
Thanks so much for all your great suggestions. I ended up buying a Hegel H200 and can't wait to get it.

how did you like the Plinius ? How long did you own it?
I was very happy with the Plinius. Plenty of power, great soundstage, good separation, I had it about 10 years and had bought it used. Felt it was a wonderful in combination with the Josephs and would be very happy to purchase one again if they still made them. (and at today's prices I could afford one).
Why not get the Plinius repaired since you were so happy with it, seems to make more sense. The cost to repair it can't be anywhere near $2,500.
They must know a thing or two about power requirements. They might be able to recommend something.
If you decide to go solid-state, check out Parasound:
I have the same speakers. I sent a note to Jeff Joseph asking about how much power (watts) he recommended to drive them. His response was that I should look for a HIGH CURRENT amp. The Parasound Halo is a high current amp. FYI, anytime I've seen Jeff Joseph demo his speakers, he's using amps from Bel Canto.
Thanks fto all for the feedback. The Modwright looks great (by the reviews) but it seems to be way out of my price range (unless I am missing something). Had been thinking about the Parasound but it seems overkill in features since I only play CD's. But it is a consideration. Intrigued by Primaluna or Rogue but do not know how much power I would need with the Josephs.
Is the Plinius not repairable? If not, take a look for one of the Modwright integrateds. Great match for Joseph speakers.

Rogue will be recommended. No direct experience here.
