Okay? :-)
I tend to agree with the majority of posters that your OP is pretty damn close to copying an ad.
I haven't heard any N-Core amps, and am not bothered by how much amps weigh either.
While I'm a bit green, I'm not really bothered by how energy efficient an amplifier is. Having gone over to relatively low-powered push-pull valve amps a good few decades ago, I am much more interested in how an amplifier sounds.
And I don't make decisions about that using multiple-close-mono-miked pan-potted, phased, eq'd, Aphexed, and heavily compressed industry / "Indie" popular music.
I prefer to use coincident or near coincident simple 2-mike 'stereo' or coincident sound-field multi-channel recordings, of acoustic music.
LBNL Based on what I have read and noted on fora such as this, I might one day use switching-mode amplifiers for sub-woofer drive duties. But given a limited budget, it's not going to be anytime soon. AB SS amps with conventional PSUs are fine IMO&E.
Click below for a recent thread about how much power - mostly for bass - I'll be using in the new system I'm building up.

Well I skim-read that post and it is interesting to see the Hypex modules combined with linear power supplies in a commercial product. They are usually paired with switching supplies. My own experience is that switching-based amps (Class D or what have you) sound better when fed by a stiff, old-school linear supply. So, I found it interesting to see this announcement from ATI.
Other people found the post ill-formatted, or annoying, or crass commercialism - well ya know, if you don't like the post DON'T READ IT. Just click past it.
