I have the chance to get a McCormack DNA 125 that has had balanced inputs added. My pre-amp of longstanding is Nelson Pass' Aleph P. Would the DNA 125 and the Aleph P be a good match?
Speakers are Totem Acoustic Dreamcatchers (4ohm) in a smallish "multi-media" room. Most listening is either classical, from solos to Mahler's 8th symphony, or acoustic "Americana" all via CD, DVD and satellite DVR.
Many thanks...

The McCormack should have no problem driving the Totems, the one I heard sounded to me to be more to the neutral side from a Pass amp. I don't see any reason they shouldn't match well electronically but I can't say if the match would please your taste.
Don't know if it helps, but I've never heard a Nelson Pass design I didn't think was awfully good (minimum) to the best I've ever heard.
Put me in the "Big Fan" section of Nelson Pass designs.
Personally I'd put My trust in Nelson's gear.. First! :-)
However you Could ultimately add in Nelson's B1 buffer for $50 (passdiy.com) IF it was deemed useful to the Mc C amp.
