Hi fellow inmates,
For the last 6 months I've been waiting for a REF Phono 2SE . I've been using my audio research SP10 MK2 as my phono stage hooked to my REF 5 linestage. When it became available in the used market, I sold my audio research D250 MK 2 Servo together w/ my REF 5 and got myself a preowned REF5 SE and the REF Phono 2 SE. This combo brings out the best from my VPI turntables. Here some pictures.

Very nice system. Post pictures of the rest... Speakers and all. Are high end systems like these easily available in the Philippines?
Hi,
Here are pictures of the rest of my system ( the amps & speakers) . This was taken prior to selling my D250 MK2 Servo . High end system are available in the Philippines if you know who & were to get them . 95% of them are available in Manila. The prices here are much lower than there in the USA at times because our dealers here have lower overhead (cost) to compared to your country and its because are dealers are aggressive w/ regards to sales because of the small market . Discount can be had up to 20 to 30% for the latest models . I used to get my equipment from near by Hong Kong and the USA . But because some of the popular brands are available in the Philippines , most of my major purchases are done locally.

Love your system. What's on the bottom right?
Hi fellow inmates,
Thanks for the nice words. The one in the bottom is an Automatic Voltage Regulator Transformer. I think in the USA it's called a Voltage Stabilizer. It automatically regulates the incoming voltage going to your equipment . Our electricity here in the Philippines supplied by the power plants is not as stable as you guys have in the USA .Ours fluctuate from time to time. It's goes as high as 245V and goes down 211-215 V. It's an small investment to protect our equipment.

Nice! pic. The ARC Ref5 SE is probably the best tubed pre-amp currently.
I've been an ARC enthusiast for decades and run an SP20 myself, but I suspect the folks in Plymouth would say the REF6 or REF10 is ultimately better than the exceptional REF5SE. :)
Hi Estat,
Of course ARC will say that. I've heard both the REF 10 & 6 . Both superb performers but not in my system. I wish I can hear them in my system so I can compare it directly to my 5SE .

In any absolute comparison your combination is nothing less than fabulous as compared with anything on the market. Certainly clearly superior to my one box SP20.
Yet, ARC continues to strive for more. Lower output impedance and distortion using more 6H30 tubes with the REF6. Going full dual mono with outrageous power supply stiffness with the REF 10.
They have an ongoing objective to seek stellar .
Hi Estat,
By the way I've heard your SP20 partnered w/ a REF 610 amp driving Duntech Sovereign's . The source came from a Michell GyroDec Turntable ( w/ Orbe platter upgrade) Kuzma Stogi Reference tonearm + Benz Micro cartridge . The system sounds superb.

I didn't know I needed TWO turntables. Got to have one cued up while the other is playing. Why didn't I think of that??
Maybe I can afford two Regas!
