How can the sound be "clear and detailed" if vocals are "fuzzy and muffled?"
Maybe you should go back to your original configuration and swap one component in at a time until you discover the source of the problem. If your Boston Acoustics floor speakers sound okay with your original receiver, then the problem is most likely the new Denon AVR-2105 receiver. On the other hand, if the Denon AVR-2105 receiver sounds good with your original speakers, then the problem is likely to be the Boston Acoustics floor speakers. You should probably do these tests without any special DSP modes engaged.
Good luck,
John Elison

Good idea. Go to square one and reboot.
