Isaak,
I can understand your frustration with the speaker connections, for me is not a great deal.My Omega speakers have a 95 db sensitivity more than 25 watts is an overkill.
I took delivery of a JJ KT77's set, I was using KT66's and I noticed right away that KT66's sound better. I am going tho give the JJ's more breaking time to check by how much they can improve.

Hey Dan:Don't get me wrong, I adore Quicksilver products, I have owned them and I have friends who I steered that away and years later they are still thrilled.
The speaker connections are just a bit of a pain, but not a deal killer. For the price, not much to complain about.
Van Alstine was a bit the same way with the captive, crappy power cords. But he came around and now they offer IEC inlets.
Great news about the tubes. It would be cool if they could accommodate KT120s!
