My very old NAD3150 was dead for some time. They said the parts required were not being made anymore. A neigborhood electronics guy managed to get the parts, maybe locally made, and now the amp works. But the sound is not the same. The background is muddled and the female sound is recessed. The sound is clearer when the mono button is pushed. So I think I need a quality new amp and from various posts and writings in magazines, I find that the NAD 316BEE is a best buy. That coupled with the Elac B6 must keep me happy for a few years. I did see some reviews of the Onkyo which is cheaper. But then I would prefer NAD to an Onkyo.

If you post regularly on these forums then you do have some audio "class". In that price range and even higher go for the 316BEE. Just my personal opinion.
Thanks. I have figured from your many previous posts that the 316 is better. SM of S'phile also used to praise it a lot.
Now, the itching to hear UB5 vs B6. Life of an audiophile is made up of itches!
Best Regards
Bill
Yeah, that's an itch you're never going to find a good cream for!!!!
Enjoy the scratching
