I have used it and recommended it.
When I resigned from Stereophile, Richard Schram of Parasound told me to keep the phono stage, and I told him that was not in my comfort zone, so I asked him if he would donate it to the community library where I volunteer, and Richard graciously said "Of course," and then Hyperion Knight inscribed it with some Beethoven. That sold on eBay for about $135, so, you missed a bargain!
Audio Advisor has them on MBG; $199 IIRC.

John

Does the Parasound Z have that much of a different phono stage from the Parasound P/HP 850 I already have?
I doubt it !
That's what I figured... how much change are they going to make to a already decent stage? I'm just jonesing for the warmer bass sound I heard with the Yaqin tube phono pre (I just coudn't handle the hum)... the search continues... maybe a Luxman hybrid pre to replace the Parasound?
Get a nice tube phono preamp. I use a Quicksilver all tube and it is dead quiet. I don't think you would go wrong with that Croft that I suggested. I fooled with this stuff for years and there is nothing like a nice all tube phono!
