Novice question: I have a simple Aric Audio tube preamp with one set of RCA outs. I want to try a set of stereo subwoofers - can I split the RCA outs and make two sets - one powering the power amp for the main speakers running full range and the second set for the subwoofers with a very low low pass setting? Thanks for the help.

I use these!
Hi ! i am using these ones bought on ebay.com.
The connection seems quite tight. Very cheap.
They work quite well.
Kind regards,

one with dual outputs just for that reason :)
Here are the responses I got when I had a similar problem.
I bought the Audioquest version of the hard adaptor (not the y wires), and it's worked out just fine.
Happy listening,

unless the output impedance of the preamp is too high. Do you know what it is and what are the input impedances of your power amp and chosen subs?
If there is room to install the extra pair of RCA jacks I believe all you have to do is run a set of jumper wires from the output jacks to the new ones......
Thanks all. I'll check on output and input impedance specs
