I have a pair of stereo MF X-10 V.3 tube buffers. I am using them on the output of the latest OPPO SACD player. I have them connected in parallel, i.e. each stereo unit is buffering a single channel of the OPPO's output. I use Audioquest Y-cables on both the input and the output jacks of the buffers.I think I slightly prefer this setup vs. the standard use of a single stereo buffer.
My question is, are there any potential issues running the stereo buffers in this "summed parallel" mode? Faster tube aging? Slight detail smearing due to slight L/R imbalance in each of the X-10 units?

"are there any potential issues running the stereo buffers in this "summed parallel" mode"Yes.
It's fine to feed both inputs with the same source but it's not OK to tie the two outputs together. That "shorts out" each of the two outputs.
The low output impedance of one stage is seen by the other and visa versa.
That low impedance is too low for the unit to properly drive.

That makes sense...I will connect only a single output to the preamp input.
Or maybe reconfigure the buffer usage entirely.
Originally the second buffer was used on one of the preamp outputs to isolate against a bunch of low impedance components downstream, including a DAT deck.
