How does it sound? At $219 it's surely priced right but is it fully enjoyable? I've never owned Emotiva.
Follow Ups:
Understand it was never intended to use with the electrostats in either the main or HT system, but rather the in house system which drives in ceiling speakers (mostly GRS 8" full rangers) in the office, living room, dining room, den and patio by pool. The decision was more of a utilitarian one for that purpose. It is said to use the same topology as the larger amps (with some Gen2 refinements) and I can comment on the older XPA-5 in the HT. While not as refined in terms of detail retrieval or soundstage as a previous Threshold Stasis I owned or the VTL mono amps, it is a clean sounding amp with plenty of power. Its sins are more of omission and has no trouble driving the 1+1s to pretty loud levels. Kal liked one he heard a while back. :)
I would put it in the high bang-for-buck category while delivering satisfactory performance.

For a secondary system, home office, or ceiling speakers, why not. Looks like a bargain for $219. Thanks.
