IF you are really concerned, a 10ohm / 10 watt POWER resistor will do. And you will note that it never gets even warm. You don't need it, though.
And YES, it is true that SS is OK without ANY load.
When I went to a biamp setup I thought BRIEFLY about a 5 channel amp using 2 / 2 with the 5th channel being idle.
Too much is never enough
Follow Ups:
Technically the load is near infinite and SS amps don't mind that at all.
To 'unload' the amp take a piece of copper to connect the terminals.
The load is now close to zero and amps really don't like that.
Thanks, guys, that's reassuring. I could have hooked up a center speaker, but I'm aiming for a minimalist appearance in the living room with a 70" Sony TV hanging on the wall, a simple rack with the Oppo 95 and Proceed HPA 3 below the TV, and a pair of KEF LS50s on either side. We use a DirecTV setup with the master HD-DVR in the media room and small satellite units connected by WiFi at each TV. The small unit can be attached behind the TV.
