Peachtree uses an ESS Sabre DAC in their integrated amplifiers and Class D amplification. This Quad is using a Cirrus-Logic chip for the DAC stage. No mention of the type of amplification but at 45wpc and very low distortion I'm guessing Class AB.
They may look similar on the outside but underneath the rounded cabinet they appear very different.

The original peachtree amps used different dacs and were class AB.
This is old tooling, but it is OBVIOUSLY A PEACHTREE AMP.

The earliest Peachtree I can find is the i-Deco from 2009/10 or thereabouts. The DAC was a Sabre and there was a tube buffer. The front panel of the Quad Vena is not precisely like the Peachtree but is very like the classic Quad 22 preamp ( and the later 33) which must be its stylistic origin.
So there is not a one to one resemblence. However they do look generally similar and I am particularly struck by the grouping of the input jacks on the rear pane which is similar on the Quad and current Peachtrees and is a little unusual.
I would not say that the Quad is a Peachtree per se but they may well come from the same factory in China. I know that Quad are chinese made these days but anything similar has been kept from me about Peachtree which I had assumed was a US made product.

Decco came out in 2007 and Peachtree is made in China but I don't think the Quad is a Peachtree or made by them. Same factory maybe. Similar style for sure.
