I bought these used 10 years ago. Had them bench tested and found them to be incredibly stable, doubling down to 2 ohms. They power my Martin Logan Ascents, a tough speaker for amps, with no problem. Weigh a ton and the toroidal ring is massive.

Yes they were animals. I had the EX4420 the year that had the 70amp output and pro10mc preamp. Great system for a great price. Of course I bought used, it was about 8 years ago. Kept the preamp much longer than the amp
B&K was a good company I thought. Evidently their relationship with Motorola wasn't enough to keep them going. As a WNY resident the fall of that company is unfortunate in more ways than one.
