Yup, it appears to me that the tube socket pins are lacking solder. This is a Pure Sound A30 amp made in China for a UK based company. It got good reviews but you would think that the author would pickup on the construction quality since the first paragraph in the review discusses manufacturing.

Abe,I don't think you are seeing the whole picture. The tube socket contacts of the tubes are soldered on the other side of the circuit board where the circuit traces are, which is not shown. The bent over tabs you see on the bottom are for mechanical support before the tube socket connections were soldered on the top side to the traces. As for the resistors shown on the bottom of the circuit board, again I would imagine the leads are solder well on the other side to the circuit traces.
It does appear from what soldering is shown for wire connections on the bottom of the board, plenty of solder was used.

It seems to me that the solder should flow through to the other side, especially with regard to component leads. See the solder pad labeled F26 near V6.

Not just the tube socket pins, some of the resister barely have solder.
Take a look at the solder pad labeled F26 in the upper right quadrant of the photo, just off tube socket V6 at approximately the 5 O'Clock position. There appears to be a component lead in that F26 pad that has no solder at all.
This is a good reason not to take hifi reviews too seriously.
Hey, what about those of us that happen to like the sound of a bad solder joint?
Seems a bit unfair now doesn't it?

I would say a perfect example of why not to take reviews to seriously!
Exactly!
The author photographed the circuit board, or at the very least viewed the pictures to incorporate into his review. If he had any technical background at all, I would expect him to clearly see red flags in the manufacturing of this amp.... as did several inmates who responded to this post.
the length of the evaluation period. :)
If it worked well for the review - the reviewer might not know the difference-
Happy Listening
