My 107dB Duo Omegas actually fare much better with 3.5wpc 2A3 monos than they did with 8wpc 300B monos (particularly in the bass - despite the powered subs, if one connects the amps using speaker level inputs rather than the line-level inputs, the external amps' bass character comes shining through, and the 300B seemed flabby compared to the 2A3).
However, I get far better results with 18wpc monos - the Lamm ML2 series. So, despite the seeming need for only a few watts of power, my experience reflects those of other posters in this thread, that a little extra juice can be a good thing indeed.

My experience is much the same. I had an Art Audio PX-25 amplifier that sounded far better than the more powerful 300B Audio Note offering, but I prefer the 845 monos overall for its better coping with big scale orchestral music in particular.
I'm concluding that I shouldn't be scared of a seemingly grossly overpowered amp and I'm now looking at solid state amps that others with Avantgarde speakers have found ideal.

Given the above advice and observations, I'll stick my neck out with saying the Pass xa30.5 or .8 would be FINE and dandy. I'll bet the meter will rarely if EVER move.
