2000 hours on those tubes. At 24 hours a day that's 83 days. You want to re-tube your amp every three months?
And I would never leave a piece of tube gear on when I wasn't in the house - it's not safe.
I like the tube cage, looks nice, keeps my cats off the tubes and is ridiculously low priced. If this was ARC selling this cage they'd want $500 for it, not $150.

That looks great! I think I'll get one. Of course, I would never leave a tube amp turned on when not in use. What I had read in a dealer ad gave the impression that the tube cage was to be used when the amp was not in use, which really doesn't make sense as the cage has screw holes in the side and is meant to be attached.
Does that tube cage clear KT120 power tubes? Is that what you're running? I kinda like the looks of the cage. Very clean looking.
I'm running KT120's, the tube cage works fine.
I have the idea (not sure) that the original EL34 Atlas tube cage might not have fit KT120's, but the one they have now obviously does.
I tried some EL34's once, they were nice, but I strongly prefer the KT120's.
I'm tempted to try some KT66's sometime.
