Hi and thanks a lot but this is very difficult for me to understand
Anyway i see that very often balanced preamps have also unbalanced outs.
I have to use a preamp so i will try first the unbalanced to listen for any noise, in the case i will look for a decent power amp with xlrs connections.
The use of adapters can be very tricky for my limited knowledge.
Thanks again.
Kind regards,
bg

I doubt that it's above your intelligence level. If the extensive diagrams overwhelm you with wiring details, ignore them and just read the text - it's quite understandable.

Hi thanks again and i am trying but for now something i read is quite clear " balanced and unbalanced interconnect are truly not compatible "
So it seems that i have to use balanced units all the way down to speakers.
And actually i have already tried a balanced headphone amp with a unbalanced input signal and i got noise in the headphones.
I like also some other passages like " completely balanced interconnects, which are excellent at rejecting ground loop and other noise currents ".
Thanks again for the very interesting article.
Kind regards,
bg
