I agree but not really required for this build. The 500W Sure I built before this one (ROBUSTO) had two 300VA trannies and could deliver 16A. I built that one to be able to play loud and hard. This one is more intended for good to high listening levels with no strain and that it does real easy. I have noticed though, over the last few days of listening, it takes over 30mins of playing before settling down. I few times I have thought something was wrong but 30mins later it's glorious.

Interesting , that much of a change after warm up ...
I mainly build tube amps and I expect them to take an hour or so each time they are turned on to reach optimum performance. And I expect a tube amp to take 100hours to burn in.
I'm not sure what it is, maybe surface mount or the gate driver chip itself, which has to warm up, though they run dead cold. I have hawked the last three Class Ds around to friends places with extremely expensive speakers, CD players etc. and everytime we have all noticed these things take time to come good. Still got me stumped why.
Yesterday I played the current IR based amp for about 7hours non-stop (the wife was out). In the first hour I was ready to pull it out. Then almost all of a sudden it comes on-song. My mate who has built a few 100W Sure based ones also says exactly the same thing. Wish I know what it was.
