"at the moment, KT150 tubes come from Putin's Russia. Will they continue to be available?"
My concern as well but after hearing the new V4s with the new transformers and Kt150 tubes, WOW!...the midrange presence, harmonic resolution and natural decay of an SET but with power. I'm not too sure I've ever heard a better midrange from a push pull amplifier, so very natural and engaging. I'm going to be hearing this system again tomorrow evening to confirm what I heard first time. A very fine amplifier indeed!

What were the conditions under whitch you heard them? Speakers, etc?
I would have loved to have sprung for the new V4's but $6500 is a little too pricey for me and $800 if you need a new set of KT150's.

I heard the amps at a dealer who regularly hosts meetings for our audio club. He carries different models of Quicksilver amplifiers which I've listened to in various set-ups. The system I heard included the new Gershman Grande Avant Garde speakers with Omega Micro cabling, Quicksilver full function pre-amp and Aesthestic Romulus CD player. While I've always admired the Quicksilver amplifiers over the years the V4s with those speakers was just one of those rare special moments that doesn't come along often.
