Who does the actual design work for CJ?
Aren't both business owners economists? I hope the economists aren't designing the gear!
Just say'n. ;-)
Follow Ups:
Actually yes they were government workers into the 70's and as audiophile music lovers became quickly dissatisfied with the solid state gear of that period after growing up on tube gear.
They did some design work along with other technical people they networked with and hired. Gat was one who worked for District Sound (District as in District of Columbia) and used to by parts from me at my Radio Shack in the mid to late 70's. He did service, assembly and added his opinions into the mix. After he passed they named gear after him.
Keith Antis does a lot of R&D too. Tor Sivertsen was director of marketing and sales but he could talk tech very well.
I think I see it as a mixed effort among many people but that is speculation.

It's good to hear a company started and developed by people with a desire to better the stereo gear available at that time.
And it shows every time I turn on my CJ preamp.
I clocked about a 100 hours on the classic 2se preamp. And I am STILL amazed. Now it seems like it has "filled out". more robust like a tube amp. Even though it's only a preamp I'm using. And now the background instruments have even better dynamics than before. More punch to the background and back up musicians.
Dang, one sweet piece of audio!
Agreed-
CJ gear is very sweet!
That is a pretty unique beginning as I would think that most high-end audio companies are born from engineering roots, but I could be wrong. Just my perception.
