Anyone beside Dennis had doing an SE KT 150 amp yet?

I'm not so sure this is anything worth pursuing. The kt120 was about on-par with a 6550 in terms of capability, the 6550, kt120, and kt150 are all going to need some feedback due to linearity issues.
In the end, do you want 20 watts from a hot-running 6550 with a bunch of feedback to fix its issues, or do you want 17 watts from a 300B that will be tolerable without feedback.
Also, look at the amps that were made around the Svetlana SV572 series tubes. Most manufacturers aren't lining up to make an amp that takes tubes made in only one factory.
By the way I think I heard the KT150 besides being more powerful than the new favorite KT120, it's more linear. Maybe some one on AA can clear this up. I do know one long time tube amp designer who told me he wouldn't use the KT120 since it was less linear than a 6550.
I know Dennis Had does not care for the KT120 tube. He prefers the KT88 or KT150. He says they will both clip softer than the KT120, which clips hard.
I guess when you are designing SEP's that only generate 12-20 wpc you have to consider clipping.
Absolutely
Not with 170 wpc!!!
Correct!
