I have a BC109 CP1, and prior preamps - Joule 100mk3 and 150mk2;Parasound JC2;Audible Illusions m3a; Blue Circle BC3 Galatea and GzPz; to name a few...
And I just cannot get over the scale and size, texture and layering, prat, emotional involvement, plus the staging and audiophile stuff the bc109 provides... Eye/ear opener for me.

Absolutely love my USB thingee - have a bunch of other dacs around and can't even bring myself to try them out. It's nice to see a company that makes such high end stuff put out a great little dac for a couple hundred. It's sound is not hyped up in any way, but if your system can get out of the way of the music it will work well, and such natural but precise imaging. I did have to use a PS Audio Ultimate Outlet to prevent it from picking up noise from my laptop (even though the thingee itself does not plug in) - but my laptop is a little piece of junk so that may be just my situation.Mine is like 5+ years old now, guess I should try their current!
