Where does the DDA-100 stand in comparison to some of the better known analogue equipment. At least one of the reviews have stated that it takes a couple of grand in a conventional amp to equal the resolution and separation of the NuForce. Do some of the $2500 analogue rigs offer the same or better detail retrieval with a warmer more meat on the bones sound ? My aging ears like detail, but not edge or grain. If the NuForce is simply showing flaws in bad recordings, maybe I need an amp that's not totally true to the source. The NuForce really is quite nice, but if I can get it, better is better. I may change only to see that I have gone backwards.

but my experience with Nuforce gear has been very positive. I agree that the house sound is on the lean side of neutral, so system matching is important (as it always is with all gear.)
They sound clean, open and fast with a tight, punchy bass. No place to hide. What are your speakers?
They are PSB Image B25's.
Considering how popular PSB speakers are, I don't understand how I've gotten this far without really giving them a listen. So I can't comment on how they might mate with Nuforce.
Now a Sonus Faber, on the other hand, I know would get along very well.
