Thinking of options for tube set up .
Using Adcom amp & pre currently . I was going to get an integrated rogue amp but weighing options .
Not quite sure how much I'd enjoy separates both being tubed ?
I'm sure the sound would be wonderful but it's more $$ and maybe harder to sync things up .
I've read how many enjoy the benefits of SS amp [low end ^] & smooth tube
mid range form pre amp .
Any advice is welcome

I went with a tube pre and SS amp. I like low wattage SS amps so I chose an amp accordingly. The pre is a Counterpoint SA-3.1 and amp is a David Belles amp two (50 watts)they sound great together driving my Wharfdale Denton 80th anniversary stand mounts. A budget system for sure but it sounds like real music.....
As a separates guy-
I too like a tubed pre-amp w/ a solid-state power amp.
If you want an excellent integrated amp, look at models from Rogue Audio and Pass Labs.
I've done it both ways with tube & solid-state electronics. I had the Cary SLP-05 tube linestage driving a Pass Labs X150.5 amp. That was a wonderful sounding setup. On the other hand, I had solid-state linestages and a passive one driving a pair of AES/Cary SixPac EL34 mono blocks. That was outstanding too. There's no set rule on which way to go.
That being said, for my money I'd go with the Rogue Cronus Magnum integrated amp with KT120 power tubes. I've had much higher end equipment in the past but I've held on to the Rogue over the years and that's what I'm using today. I'm also using the ARC VSI-60 integrated but in terms of value (bang for the buck) and outstanding sonics, my pick would still be the Rogue.
I've been waffling between the Cronus Magnum or the ST-100 amp to go with my Cary SLP-88 preamp. I've had several decent solid state power amps paired with the tube pre; came to conclusion that I want tubes in the power stage as well. If I didn't already have the Cary I'd go for the Cronus. I still might anyway just for simplicity.
I'd go with the Rogue integrated in a heartbeat. Preferably the model that runs the KT 120.
...And then throw a TRANSCENDENT GROUNDED GRID preamp (GGP) in front of it.This is the least 'classic tube' sounding preamp I've heard, but still inserts that tube magic relating to imaging, flow and 'reach-out-and-touch-it' palpability.
Best of all - if you're a tinkerer - you can easily keep upgrading every part of the GGP to extract even greater performance from it!
With new knobs and perhaps a blue LED, the GGP looks pretty sweet for a kitset too!
NB: If your power amp or speakers ain't up to the task, the GGP ain't going to fix it...
