Anybody recommend some vintage preamplifiers that have incredible sounding headphone output jacks?
Follow Ups:
Some vintage McIntosh Preamps from the 70s and 80s such as the c33 and c34v have built in monitor amps. The amp is also used for headphone outputs and reports are they sound excellent. There is usually 2 jacks for his and her enjoyment :)
I guess not quite vintage yet but close. My Hafler 945 Pre-Tuner has a real nice dedicated Headphone amp built in.
Had a Cary SLP-88 which sounded good with headphones, wished I kept that preamp.
Not sure if it qualifies as Vintage - but some of the later Audibile Illusion Modulus pre-amps had very good headphone circuits-
You may also consider Yamaha, McIntosh, and Luxman
Happy listening
I loved my 3A...hated the fact I had to sell it.
But then again, paying my tuition that semester was probably worth it, long term :-p

I have a Yamaha CX-830 and my current headphones sound good through it. I'm looking for some "others" that may have even BETTER quality headphone jacks.
