With that impedance curve I presume that you are looking for a serious voltage source. When evaluating gear I routinely look at the I/O impedances if they aren't specified and the NAK PA-5's output was essentially zero. At least an order of magnitude lower than the other stuff I tried. I presume that is largely a function of the topology and would also be true of the Pass units.
I like that, it makes life simpler. If you need a little impedance you can always add it via cable or discretes but the source sets the lower limit.

Yeah, I hear ya. The Nackamichi/Pass stuff from that era seems to be really under appreciated...
My old ARC D76a LOVED these speakers, and sounded even better with the 4 ohm taps! Go figure! Bottom end for days! Serious 3-D imaging, and pin point detail (not harshness, but such tight focus, you could pick out individual players in the strings, or winds). AWESOME.
I truly miss that amp as far as SQ, but got tired of minor problems on an almost weekly/monthly basis creeping into what was supposed to be my listening/unwinding time. I thought of going valve power again, but I'm not really into babysitting and maintenance anymore (with exception of my preamp- I'll stick with small signal triodes now!).
I really need plug and play...

A word on the Nakamichi stuff -
I have a smaller unit (can't remmember the model #) ~45-50 watts/channel
Purchased it used -
Display was showing age - and then the unit went into Protection - took it to a tech-
Can't replace the display-
\fixed a bad cap and it ran for about another year - then the speaker relay stopped working-
Nice sound - but I would not go down that road again - near the end of their life and WAY too many parts inside the box....
As to the Linn -
I just received my Classik back from Glasgow - fatal error, go home to be fixed -
nice sound but - can't drive my ProAc R3s - but great on small monitors...
Foe what it's worth,
Good luck
Of the Linn stuff out there, I had the Powertek (gutless wonder, just like my winter beater), but have heard the Klout driving everything Linn from the Kan/Tukan, through Kabers, right up to full Aktiv Isobariks and Keltiks. Always seemed to get out of the way of the music. The only thing scares me (even being a tech) is the amount of horror stories I keep hearing about the protection circuits going faulty (almost a Bill Gates planned obsolescence thing going down?)...
Age and used are an unfortunate part of the game here, simply because of the limited budget ($1500 MAX, although D-wife would prefer under $1k)...
